Bailey Hague Joinery was founded by Robert and Susannah Bailey-Hague in 1999. Nearly three decades on, we're still family run, still based in Yorkshire, and still spending the extra hour on the details that most people never think to notice.

Robert Bailey-Hague started the business in 1999 with a simple idea: timber joinery, done properly, using materials chosen to outlast the property they're fitted to. From the first small workshop in Yorkshire to the setup we run today, that hasn't changed.

Susannah joined shortly after, and the two of them have run the company together ever since — Robert leading design, specification and site work; Susannah looking after clients, projects and the office.

We work from a base at Moor Lane Trading Estate in Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire, with a small team of craftsmen, fitters, and surveyors. Everything we design, specify and install — sash windows, casements, storm-proof windows, entrance doors, heritage doors, French and bifold sets — is made from timber and hung by our own team on site.

We've completed full-house window installations, listed-building restorations, and single-door replacements across York, Harrogate, Leeds, Wetherby, and beyond. Every one gets the same standard of finish.

We work in Accoya, engineered hardwood, and oak. Timbers we can stand behind for 50+ years, not the cheapest board in the yard.

Every window and door is drawn, specified, and built to the property it's fitting into — not adapted from a stock size.

Our craftsmen do the install. No subcontracted fitters, no unfamiliar faces turning up on your driveway.
