Gualdi Legnami srl was established in 1961, with origins dating back to the early 1900s in wood processing. In 1904, the founder Gianfranco Gualdi's grandfather, after returning from America, founded a sawmill in a small town in the province of Trento. The founder's father continued the business, and later Gianfranco worked alongside him. The company was officially established in 1961 as Gualdi legnami srl di Gualdi Gianfranco & C. In 1975, road construction issues forced the company to downsize its operations to timber trading. This situation lasted until 1980 when Gianfranco purchased a sawmill in Castelnuovo del Garda, which after modernization remains the production site. At the end of 2019, Gianfranco passed leadership to his son Gianmarco, who became commercial manager, and to his granddaughter Vittoria, who handles accounting and administration. The company name changed to Gualdi legnami Snc di Gualdi Gianmarco & C, and in January 2024 it became GUALDI LEGNAMI Srl following a corporate transformation.
