Founded in 2009, Fornale Engineering is a structural wood engineering company with hundreds of projects completed both in Italy and abroad. Fornale Engineering is committed to combating climate change and reducing emissions associated with the environmental impact of traditional construction. It designs structural solutions based on LCA analysis, using wood or hybrid construction systems to minimize environmental impact while meeting project goals. The team has been involved in numerous public and private projects. Wood is the core material, well known in all structural forms — glulam, CLT, LVL, SWP, KVH — and applied optimally according to project needs. The company’s experience allows optimization of projects for both machine processing and construction. Design is developed in 5D using BIM software, and the company manages DfMA by collaborating with cutting centers.
