Canada's industrial product prices, which include lumber, and U.S. housing data top the week of October 19–25, alongside Finland's domestic roundwood market figures and quarterly results from forest products and homebuilding companies.
The Commerce Department will release September housing starts and building permits on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. ET, and the National Association of Realtors is scheduled to publish pending home sales the same day. On Wednesday, Statistics Canada will report August investment in building construction.
Statistics Canada's September industrial product price index, which includes lumber and other wood products, is scheduled for Thursday at 8:30 a.m. ET. On Wednesday, Finland's Natural Resources Institute will publish September prices and volumes on the country's domestic roundwood market, and Britain's Office for National Statistics will release producer prices for the same month.
Quarterly reports run from Wednesday through Friday. Packaging Corporation of America will report third-quarter results on Wednesday, followed on Thursday by Holmen, Norske Skog, PulteGroup, Rottneros and The Navigator Company, and by SCA on Friday.
