The Madison's Lumber Prices Index remained flat at $522 per thousand board feet for the week ending May 15, 2026, unchanged from the prior week′s report. The index, which tracks weighted averages of Western SPF, Eastern SPF, Douglas fir, and Hem – Fir based on North American production volume ratios, now sits $2 below its level from one month ago, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.


The $522 reading represents a decline of less than1% from the mid−April level of $524. The index's composition reflects the same species mix used in lumber futures contracts.
