Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending July 31, 2026, reached US$558 per thousand board feet, marking a 1% increase of $4 from the previous week's US$554, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.

The index rose 2% or $13 from one month ago when it stood at US$545, while remaining flat from the same week one year ago when it was US$556.

Madison's constructs the index using the same species as futures – Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir – with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios over recent years.
