U.S. boxboard production in the second quarter increased by 2% compared to Q2 2025, with the boxboard operating rate at 88.8%, down 0.6 points from the same quarter last year, according to the American Forest & Paper Association.

Solid Bleached Boxboard production in Q2 increased 4% compared to Q2 2025, while operating rates across other categories showed gains, with Unbleached Kraft & Coated Recycled Boxboard operating rate reaching 92.6%, up 2.6 points from the same quarter last year and up 2.0 points year-to-date.

Uncoated Recycled Boxboard operating rate stood at 97.2%, up 3.6 points from the same quarter last year and up 2.1 points year-to-date.
