Velvet CARE Group has established Velvet CARE Germany GmbH in Freiburg to strengthen its direct presence in the DACH markets, with the new commercial company taking responsibility for sales in Germany and subsequently Austria and Switzerland.
The company will serve the largest retail chains, focusing on providing tissue products under private labels, which account for over 85% of paper hygiene product sales in the German market.
Velvet CARE products have been sold in Germany for over a decade under the "Veltie" brand and private labels through an external partner, with the newly established entity gradually taking over distribution from the intermediary under the signed agreement. Deliveries will be made primarily from the Sulęcin plant, located near the German border, to optimize logistics costs and increase operational flexibility.
Stephan Knapp, who has experience in sales, marketing, and business development at Unilever, Reckitt, and the Dr. Beckmann Group, will lead Velvet CARE Germany GmbH, managing a team of Customer Business Managers and a German-speaking back office.
Paweł Bajorek, President of Velvet CARE, stated that the company plans to triple product sales in the German market by 2028 and maintain rapid growth, with the goal made possible by offering high-quality products tailored to consumer needs, efficient logistics, and full control over the sales process.
Velvet CARE is one of the largest and most modern manufacturers of tissue products in Europe. Its product range includes toilet paper, paper towels, facial and universal tissues, and wet toilet paper.
