Hampton Lumber has announced the appointment of Chris Walton as Chief Executive Officer, with Walton succeeding Steve Zika, who has served as Interim CEO since December 2025.
Over the past thirty years, Walton has held leadership positions across multiple departments including manufacturing, finance, information technology, and business development, most recently serving as the company's Chief Financial Officer where he helped guide growth, strategic investments, and long-term business planning.
Under Walton's leadership, the company will continue advancing its mission to grow, manufacture, and market renewable wood products while delivering innovative solutions for a more sustainable built environment.
Hampton Lumber is a family-owned company headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with more than 80 years in the sawmill business, operating mills in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, and currently constructing a new mill in South Carolina.
