R.P. Lumber Co., Inc. has acquired White Mountain Lumber in Green River, Wyoming, with the location at 270 E. Flaming Gorge Way beginning operations as R.P. Lumber effective October 17, 2026, according to R.P. Lumber.
The acquisition brings together two family-owned businesses that share a commitment to customer service, quality products, and strong local relationships while strengthening R.P. Lumber's growing presence in Wyoming and northeastern Utah.
Founded in 1990, White Mountain Lumber has served Green River and the surrounding area for more than three decades under owners Ken Johnson and Bill Dowd, whose family has served customers throughout the region for more than 30 years, with the location continuing to be managed by Jerry Johnson, the company's longest-tenured employee.
Current team members are expected to remain with the business following the acquisition, ensuring continuity for customers and preserving local knowledge and relationships, while R.P. Lumber anticipates expanding its outside sales presence and continuing to invest in the Green River market as the business grows.
R.P. Lumber Co., Inc. is a family-owned, full-service retail home center and building materials supplier.
