The Latin America Softwood Lumber Benchmark (LATAMSLB) fell 9.8% in June 2026 to 344.5 USD/m3. Year on year, the benchmark was down 1.1%. In the Dominican Republic, the region's largest import market, accounting for 22% of imports, prices fell 23.4% while import volume rose multi-fold. Shipments from the U.S. and Chile increased from low bases, while shipments from Brazil fell from a low base. Year to date, prices in the Dominican Republic fell 2.3% and import volume rose 33.9%. Year to date, the Latin America Softwood Lumber Benchmark (LATAMSLB) has been little changed.
