Valmet has appointed Pia Aaltonen-Forsell as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Valmet Executive Leadership Team.
Pia Aaltonen-Forsell will report to President and CEO Thomas Hinnerskov and will start in the position at the latest at the end of January 2027, based in Espoo, Finland.
She joins Valmet from the role of Chief Financial Officer at Finnair, with previous CFO roles at Northvolt, Outokumpu, Ahlström-Munksjö and Munksjö, and Vacon, as well as various management and finance positions at Stora Enso.
Pia Aaltonen-Forsell also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee of UPM-Kymmene Corporation. She succeeds Katri Hokkanen, who as announced on March 20, 2026, is leaving her CFO role by the end of September 2026.
