ICT Poland has successfully started up tissue machine TM11 at its Kostrzyn nad Odrą mill following a rebuild, according to the technology supplier Andritz.
The modernization included a PrimePress XT shoe press rebuild and an upgrade of the reel with new hydraulic automation. The machine was originally supplied by Andritz in the early 2000s.
Gross daily production has increased by 2.5%, while specific energy consumption for steam, gas and electricity has been reduced by 5%. The rebuild also delivered improved tissue softness and increased caliper.
