Sonoco Products Company will increase prices for all uncoated recycled paperboard grades in the United States and Canada by $60 per ton effective with shipments from 8 July 2026, while converted paperboard products will rise by 7% on the same date, according to Sonoco. The increase applies to paperboard tubes, cores, cones, partitions, protective packaging and other specialty products.

Taylor Lane, Vice President and General Manager for Industrial Paper Packaging in North America, cited robust demand across Sonoco’s markets and strong utilization of its paper mill network as primary drivers. Elevated inflationary pressures have significantly raised operating costs, Lane added.

Sonoco states the price increase helps ensure the company can continue to deliver reliable supply and high-quality products to support customers’ business effectively.
