Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending July 17, 2026, reached US$548 per thousand board feet, remaining nearly flat with a $1 increase from the previous week's US$547, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.

The index rose 3% or $15 from one month ago when it stood at US$533. Madison's constructs the index using the same species as futures – Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir – with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios over recent years.
