Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending July 10, 2026, stood at US$547 per thousand board feet, reflecting a 4% increase of $23 from one month ago when the index was US$524, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter

The index rose $2 from the previous week's US$545, representing a 0% change when rounded to the nearest whole percentage. 

Madison's constructs the index using the same species as futures – Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir – with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios over recent years.
