In May 2026, the total value of roundwood purchased from Slovenian private forests increased by 21% compared to May 2025, with fuel wood recording a significantly higher increase of 81.5%, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

Sawlogs and veneer logs value rose by 20%, while pulpwood increased by 9%, with only other industrial roundwood declining by 1%.

Compared to April 2026, the total roundwood purchase value fell by 20%, with pulpwood recording the most significant decrease of more than 33%. Sawlogs and veneer logs value declined by 19% and other industrial roundwood by 14% month-on-month.
