Madison's Lumber Prices Index for the week ending August 7, 2026, remained unchanged at US$558 per thousand board feet compared to the previous week, according to Madison's Lumber Reporter.

The index rose 2% or $11 from one month ago when it stood at US$547.

Madison's constructs the index using the same species as futures – Western Spruce-Pine-Fir, Eastern Spruce-Pine-Fir, Douglas fir, and Hem-Fir – with weighted averages based on North American production volume ratios over recent years.
